Just a little follow up. Had the car over at Carolina Auto Masters for some tuning and dyno pulls. We did 6 pulls, three for tuning and then 3 more for the CMC certification.

First, I was pretty excited that my motor stayed together for 6 pulls.

The new motor is quite a bit stronger than the one that let go at VIR. I gained 25 ft/lb of torque across the lower rpm's and gained 2 HP and 16 ft/lb of torque at peak.

Now I have to add a little weight to the car to make it legal. That is a good problem to have :D

we have to take the average of three pulls at 185, 195 and 205 degrees. So the average is 231.7 HP and 305.4 ft/lb of torque. The old numbers of the engine that blew were 229.0 and 285.5

The curve of the new engine is what is impressive, a lot less steep than that of the old motor.

So my minimum weight has to be 3210. So Cline, the minimum date weight just increased too
