thought about springs, but I think I'll get too much negative camber in the back then, and springs+camber kit for the back=cost of camber plates almost, and I'd kind of prefer to keep my daily driver ride.

No, just get front springs only. No need to buy a complete set. - AB

considering how much weight this car already carries up front, you really think that would help? I'm pretty green when it comes to suspension setup, but wouldn't that totally screw the weight distribution (stock, its 60%F/40%R) to just do front springs only?

Maybe I missed it but what is your current setup (struts, springs, sways), Brice?

If you already have non-stock springs front and rear, you've certainly changed that ratio. I would bet that 1/2" drop would increase your static negative camber by a .5 degree.

It truly depends upon how you want to approach this, but if I were on a budget, I would get springs, or better yet, borrow a camber guage and run a camber curve test on the front to see exactly what is gained by each drop. For a half inch, if you had a camber guage and could put your weight on the corner your measuring, you probably could compress the suspension easily that much and measure the change. - AB

I'm currently running stock suspension (dunno spring rates), stock struts, and stock front sway (21 mm) and aftermarket rear sway (22mm as opposed to 20 mm stock).

Just an FYI - the Eibach "front alignment kit" for my SVT turns out to be cheapy re-badged SPC camber plates. They're known to have a few issues, so I'm sending them back to the Tire Rack.
No biggie, I knew I was taking a chance, but probably best to call and see exactly what they're selling.

They just relocate the piston shaft and not the spring seat (guessing on the proper terms), so they don't operate along the same axis, and apparently the studs are prone to pulling through the plates.

Just what I read on the internets, so it must be true  - they may be fine, but I decided if I'm going to go through the trouble of replacing the plates, it'll be with proper K-Mac or LCR adjustables, and when I get adjustable struts.
