Hey Joel! Tell me about your 318i???

Firstly, is it a 318i you have? If so, what year? Would you mind looking at the little sticker on the door frame and telling me the GVW? I’m curious how much those things weigh according to BMW.

Lastly, would you mind if I weighed your car on my scales sometime? Or is that getting too personal? :oops:

I have a 91 318is. If memory serves it’s supposed to be around 2650lbs. I think Mike has mentioned in another post that the 84-85 318i should be lighters. I do know a friend of a friend thats got a running 84-85 that we could maybe talk him into putting it on scales. It would be cool to compare the two in weight stock.

the owners manual for my '85 318i says
318i
2-door 2395lbs
4-door 2450lbs

325e
2-door 2710lbs
4-door 2755lbs

all with full tank of gas. add 55lbs to the 318i for auto and 44 lbs to the 325e for auto trans.

the stickers in the door only have the GVWR which is 3365lbs for my car..
