I'm considering buying a set of Kosei's for my 1998 M3. Anyone out there running these? I'm in the process of seeing what fits (tire and wheel) a stock M3. Also, does anyone suggest an alternative wheel for around the same price? Thanks.

Phil

Phil,

I think PJ's running those on his E36.

I contacted John at the TireRack and found out that a 235/40 will fit without spacers, but wider tires will require spacers.

255 Azenis with 15mm spacers up front will fit. With stock springs I didn't have to roll the fenders. With H&Rs you will have to roll the rear a little.

i ran em w/ H&R Sports/Bilsteins and GC coilovers, 255/40 Azenis, and 12mm front spacers.

I rolled the rear fenders a bit, but i'm not convinced it was totally necessary.

size issues are usually seen on the front wheels. it is more the inability to turn lock to lock without dragging the inside of the wheel well.
probably not critical for autoX, not real good for track.

i tracked the setups and didnt find any trouble either. you'd likely use a lot more steering input in an autox than on track anyway
