Where do most people mount the remote battery cutoff switch? I do not have a cowl area and very little fender area to mount outside of the car.

I was thinking on top of the passenger side dash. That puts it in easy reach and shortens the cable run from the battery.

That will work.

One of the main things to consider is how easily accesible the switch is to corner workers/emergency crew who might be helping you out in the event of an incident. The passenger side of the dash should work just fine for this.

Many folks mount the switch somewhere on the rollbar, it provides a secure mounting surface and you can put it pretty much anywhere you want.

We mounted mine on the roll cage just inside the passenger window using a junction box from home depot (the holes even lined up). It's solid. Good access for the workers, and also I can put the key in it from the drivers seat when I forget it before trying to start the car. Also a good thing to be able to turn the car off yourself if you need to.

Previously, it was mounted in the hood.

That's only funny if you haven't seen a car spinning down the track on it's top.

OK, it's a little funny even then.

:D
