So, anyone got recommendations for folks in the area good at motor builds and tuning for things like K20 and K24 Honda engines?

Along those lines, what about 1ZZ Toyota engines?

Donnie, search the threads and talk to the dude that Michael Westerfield uses. He did his JDM Yo! conversion on his Gheylude and it looks factory. His guy builds some CRAZY stuff there and will undoubtedly do a good job for Honda/Acura stuff.

As for the 1ZZGE, you are prolly fooked ;) I would talk to TRD and find out who they would suggest. - AB

Tell him I sent you. He'll take good care of you.
He doesn't do a whole lot of rebuilds, but knows how to do them right when asked. Mine was a drop in, but he did have to tear into the tranny to install the quaiffe. We also replaced pretty much every seal on the motor along with all the usual. I believe he usually works with Thoff for the down and dirty (machine shop stuff), as I've heard the guys that were good and left have now returned. He does all the assembly himself though.

must whore out the pics once again....

Dennis just did another Spec Miata motor for us (re-did the same motor he previously did that won us the 13 hour in 2005), but he says he's booked until spring, which basically means he's not interested in Honda or Toyota stuff right now, apparently.

Thanks for the other reco, guys. Will give him a call.

As Dennis's mentor who had him building my IMSA RS engines before he was 17 and driving for me when he turned 18... went on from there to make a livng of it... I reckon I'd have to SECOND that motion...
