Is there a decent source for 4130 chromoly tubing in the Raleigh area (that will sell to the public)?

I'm looking for 1.5" O.D. tubing with .045 to .050 sidewall thickness.

Yes.....it's for the FSAE car! :D

Have you tried Dillon Supply Company? Only problem is stuff like this isn't sold in small quantities (10-20 feet minimum, IIRC).

Well, I just got of the phone with the guru....Chris Schimmel. He gave me the low down on the cage for my FSAE car. Turns out he did some mods to the car when Donnie owned it. He said that there were no issues using a DOM mild steel tubing which is much easier (and cheaper) to get access to!! Thanks Chris!

You get that engine mounted properly yet? Or is that what this is about?

So who do you get mild steel from? I got a bicycle chopper project brewing and want something lighter than waterpipe but cheaper than 531 Reynolds.

Yep.....that's why I need the tubing. However, I'm considering a couple of alternatives to the tubing that should work just fine. (I'll post pics soon) I'm still shooting to have the engine mounted correctly in time for the event on the 19th.
