Edit: This kit is for 020 VW transaxles
I got one, this past week, direct from Peloquin, $99.95 plus $12 shipping. This was the 80% kit which requires 100mm cups(No big deal, the splines and seal face are the same size as the 90mm cups) This kit upgrades the factory "mini slip"
You get shims, slightly deeper friction rings, retaining bolts, a retaining cap, snap rings, o-rings for the retaining cap and instructions. It also comes with a tool for compressing the spring behind the cup so you can remove and install the snap rings. I had to grind the tool back a little to get it to sit in the flange of the 90mm cup.
You can put this kit in with the tranny in the car, but I had it on the bench.
This kit goes in pretty easy. The only thing close to trouble was the closed area the snap ring is in. I ended up grinding back some snap ring pliers to fit. The instructions are clear and it should not take more than a hour for the install part of the job. If you do it in the car, I would add an hour or two, to get the half shafts out of the way.
It will be several weeks before I get to try it out, but on the bench it seems locked pretty tight. I saw a review of one bench tested by fixing one cup and applying a torque wrench to the other one, it took around 140 foot/pounds to break it loose.
I know that are not to many of you out there with old VWs but if you are thinking of a rallycross car or a cheap autoX car, this kit is way cheaper and easier than a true limited slip diff.
