Let's put it this way: you're scheduled for an armwrestling contest with Mr. T. You're allowed to train for up to a year, but can only go up to using an 80lb dumbbell. Yet you use a 20lber. You lose.

Should you whine?

PS, I appreciate that little nugget of spelling appreciation, Binky. I did earn my fair share of gold stars over twenty years ago, and I'm still mighty proud of them. The fact that you are concentrating on that instead of the larger point is quite telling.

Brice, move over, there's a new sheriff in town.

A more correct analogy would be: You are given a 20# barbell because you are broke and the original owner no longer needs it. You clean it up and get it working pretty good. Two years later you find out there is an arm wrestling club. "That sounds like fun", you think. You join and ask what class you will be in. The club members tell you that you are in class D, you later find out that MR T is in this class. You tell every one that you weigh 80#, have been training with a 20# dumbell. you are no match for MR T and need to be in the class with the guy that played Marty McFlys dad in Back to the Future, Crispin Glover. They tell you tough, even tho it may not have been right you are now in this class(They probably get their ass kicked on a regular basis and want to see someone else get the smack down. {Oooh, I may have discovered your line of reasoning})

Right out of Marriam Webster, Gold Star: tho, variant of THOUGH

Chuck,
Normally I would be coming in here and saying we need to lay off the new guy (you), However we (THSCC) have chosen to follow the scca rules for classing your car needs to be classed correctly. If all you are missing to be in Street Prepared is the Headliner and the Back seat, by the rules you need to put them in, there is no bargaining. I put my del sol back to stock form from street prep, I put every little thing back on the car to make it legal, things like all the correct bolts for the stock intake, took off the one control arm I put on that had a sway bar mount, and re-attached the brake dust shields, all little insignificant things, however they all have to be there to be legal. I know that no one would protest me, however I could not in good conscience not try my best to me 100% legal for the class I am in. THSCC does not negotiate rules, if we did it for one person we would have to do it for all, it may seem uptight, but car classing rules are a touchy subject and need to be followed to the letter.

But, looking at the rules**, the backseat(In my attic) anad the headliner(In the shed) would put me in a class with cars from the same era with the same kinds of mods.

For someone who says its no big deal it sure sounds like it is. Im sorry but take the 1 hour (MAX) and put the damn headliner and seat back in and be legal for FSP. That alone would have moved you to 10th in NOV. Think about it like this we will make it 20% easier if you add 5-10 lbs to your car and take 1 hour of your time :)

Things like interior removal just arent allowed except in the Prepared/Mod classes.

This is the way its gonna be and Im locking this to prevent further beating of a dead horse
