I took the cheap route this time and got the R3S04's 225/50/13. Mounted them on Rota RB wheels.

These new tires turn faster.

Did you heat cycle these tires? I highly recomend it. Just drive 50 miles in one direction at freeway speed, turn around and come home. Then let the tires sit at least overnight.

I took it for a 45 minute drive last night. I pulled into a corporate park to checked the tires and found a nice little cul-de-sac. Since the insides were hotter than the outsides, I ran circles in both directions for about 10 minutes each. Nothing too fast, but enough to heat up the tires evenly. A little dizzying, a little booring, and a little fun all at the same time.

I didn't run 50 miles out and back, but hopefully it was enough. I could drive it to work and back which is 50 miles each way, but would another heat cycle be good or bad for them?
