Colin, you need some of these . I ran the "tuner" lugs for awhile, but was leary of the quality. The McGuards are top notch quality.

Mark at HHW can get the McGuards for you.....

They're proud of those aren't they. They look like a nice option though and I like the closed ends.

Why do you like the closed ends? I am of the opinion that a closed end is just a great way for dirt to get trapped and one day ruin a stud and your day.

annoyance #2, my lug nuts won't fit inside the Rota's. Well, the lug nuts fit, but you'd never get a socket over them. I didn't even think about lug nuts. :banghead: I had to pick up some 'tuner' lug nuts (locking) at AutoZone.

Instead of the crazy expensive McGard nuts, go to Discount Tire and get their open end tuner lugs. M12x1.5. You can see them here: http://www.gorilla-auto.com/products/?s ... &sfID2=252

They're like $0.50 each plus $8 for the tool. Buy spares.

Haha, did it again. I think it is "Colin". Not "Colon" or "Coln". :P

Colin, Hey, I noticed that your username is "Coln" and not "Colin". If that was a typo when you setup your account, I can fix that for you. Just PM me.

I had four open ended locking nuts that were OEM on the car. Corrosion on the exposed studs was a problem and recent lack of attention to that resulted in a broken wheel stud a few weeks ago while taking one of them off.

Now that you run events, you will take your wheels off so often that corrosion will not have a chance to form! I just don't like closed end nuts as they trap dirt. It is a big problem if you ever go down to Roebling and are in a sandy paddock.

I don't make mistakes  I was trying to maintain my anonymity - in direct violation of the forum rules I might add. Now that I've been publicly called out I guess you can fix it.
