The car is an '81 Scirocco
Stock engine but portmatched, larger throttle body/intake matched. Air cleaner opening enlarged and ducted to fender. It may also have a GTi exhaust manifold and fuel injection unit, they appear different that the stock pieces. The manifold is the dual outlet and the fuel injection has the 120mm plate. Adjustable cam gear. Motor mounts filled with urathane. Battery moved to spare tire well.
Gti transaxle '83(?) Lightened flywheel.
Biltein sport shocks, stock springs cut one coil. larger antisway bar in front. Anti sway bar added to rear. Front and rear upper stress bars, lower front brace. Gti rotors, the same dia. but vented. Non stock wheels(6x13"), I think they are shorter and wider than the stockers. R tires.
Interior removed, except for front seats and carpet. Dash stripped but in place. All extra weight, that did not involve a sawzall :), removed.

Later this summer it will get new springs and a more open exhaust as well.

Where am I? Street mod?

Yep, EP.
If it doesn't fit those rules then it's on to DM.

What about XP? Doesn't that have allowances beyond EP that might accomodate the car before it is declared DM?

Come play in DM. We like having more than one car in the class. Hell we're not even runing R comp. Not to mention the fact that our car will 'probably finish the weekend'

If the club is supporting XP this year, someone needs to tell me, since it's not currently a choice on the prereg page.

I have no idea but when discussing the planned buildup of my car, a certain club president opined that it would be classed there.

Patrice & Kathy apparently figured out a way to make it a choice - they're both preregistered for this Sunday's autocross in XP class.
