OK all of you mechanical engineers, a review of hydraulics.
I've had problems with the rear brake bias valve on my A2 Golf which has a mechanical gizmo attached to the swingarm rear axle. I decided to replace it with a proportion valve so I can manually adjust the bias front to rear. The master cylinder has 4 ports ..one for each wheel and a dual diagonal set up. My thinking is to run the front brakes off the front two ports and here is where I need some advice. I can either block off a rear port and run one line rearward to proportion valve and then tee off for each rear wheel or run the two rear lines to the valve teeing it in front and then teeing it again after the valve.
My question is ..will blocking off one port reduce flow and/or effect rear brake pressure?
Any other ideas.
Thanks
Chris
