Hello all, I spoke with Jeff at CAM and he would like to minimize the switching between run goups for RWD and FWD cars. We can rotate for the morning (RWD/FWD) and afternoon (RWD/FWD), but that's as far as we are going to push it. As for food, you're on your own for breakfast, but like I said, you're welcome to bring drinks and snacks and bring some to share if you would please. For lunch, Jeff has a grill he's offered to fire up, so we'll have 'burgs and dogs. I'll try to get everything together to for this. If you think you'll be here for lunch, let me know please so I can get at least a rough head count.

updated 11:45pm 4/19

Since I didn't list the date, yes, we are meeting this Saturday, the 22nd and first car off is at 9:00. Rigth now we are at 15 drivers, so I think we are looking good right now. Stacy also made the observation about extending the time to allow for more tuning, but from the looks of it we need to stay on the 20min time frame. As much as I'd like to stay all day, I've got a few other things planed for the day, so 2 works for me. I thought I'd try to stick a lunch time in as well. As for the price, we'll know better after tomorrow afternoon once this closes. I'll call Jeff and see if we qualify a discount. Right now I'd plan on $50 per run time, but I'll let you know.

I've adjusted the times for lunch, so let me know if you are OK with the times.

If you're talking about doing it at CAM I'd be interested. If I don't get down there sooner for some adjustments.

I can run with this. Just need a phone number for the place in Durham. Any idea where the price break is and what the minimum number of folks is? I think we can open this up to the Z club as well since they helped with the last one. Always good to trade favors.

He'll tell you current pricing. We usually shoot for about 15-20 cars. Pricing is here:

Looks like CAM speaks that (Megasquirt) language too. 8)

Alright, you heard the man... We need 15-20 (max) cars for this. Prices look to be a maximum of $50 per car and a minimum of 5 cars. If we can get 15 cars or greater, we may be able to reduce the price. For me, the second weekend in April (the 8th) works best considering everything else I have going on and that's the weekend before Easter. That should give us plenty of time to add folks and allow for any car tweaking you need to make.

let me know and I'll start making a list...

OK, quick update... ( I guess I should have called CAM first)

We are set up for April 22nd and not the 8th. Everything else is taken and this is first available. Also, if we want the Saturday date, we need a minimum of 12 cars to make this work. I think in the past we have had 1/2 hour time slots so everyone had several pulls, just make sure the car is prepped and ready when it's your turn.

So, that said, let me know and we'll get this rolling.

And if anyone can put the word out to Stacy King and the Z club, let them know as well that we are setting up a dyno day.

Thanks all!!

I'm in now that it's the 22nd. I'm sure that my car will have less torque and HP than yours, so when you beat me in STS I'll have a good excuse. :D

I've seen folks change intakes and exhaust at the shop. If you have a time slot, just be ready to roll onto the dyno so you don't impact others that are waiting. Other than that....

If your tow hooks are hidden under plastic cladding, it makes things go faster if that is removed ahead of time

It takes time to change the room from FWD to RWD as well, so reservations should take that into account

If you know that you're going to want air/fuel measurements and the like, make sure that you ask for that before the first run

If you're planning on making changes (carburetor jets, etc), plan accordingly by making sure you sign up for a long enough time and have the tools and jets laid out appropriately
