for example, the 215s were an assymetrical tread, but people still flipped them on the tire and claimed they worked fine.

has anyone tried or heard any talk regarding this and the 615s? sure would be nice if i could flip them on the tires.. i see some decent inner tire wear in my future..

Nope - you're the first. Why don't you try it and let the rest of us know how it works?

If the tire doesn't say "do not mount backward on wheel" or something like that (which a set of Pirellis I used for a while had on them), I wouldn't worry about it.

The old 215s have text that says "mount this side facing outward" but they can be flipped.

The Yokahama Intermediates were asymmetrical also. I flipped a set when necessary and had no problem. They were my street tires also.
