Mike,
We've had that little beast for about eight years.... It's a beast cause you've got to work on it four hours for every one hour of driving... I rebuilt the engine and added an MSD ignition which promptly toasted the lucas coil and rotor in the distributor. It now has a mallory distributor and an MSD coil. I went to start it yesterday and the fuel pump died. Is my fun meter pegged, or what???

Bernie,

You have what is known as a British Leyland Demon. I quailified priest can perform and exorcism and you will then be fine. I had it myself once (three triumph's at one time inorder to keep one on the road, My normal cars at the time were a Ford Granada and a Renault Le Car!) . I am now completely normal, with the exception of two minis. I guess you are never completely well!!
