Oh man. Hmm.

Just some tuning on the shocks on the '99 Miata Sport and some seat time. CS. Autocross only car.

Wheels and tires for the Cayman S. Hopefully in SS. Street driver and will see some ProSolo.

Once the Cayman S gets here, I'll start tearing down the '87 911. It's getting body panel backdated to a '73 RS and is getting about 300RWHP. I think it'll still be SM2 legal with what I want to do, and if so, well, time to play. :) I may end up AP like Patrice, but that wouldn't be so bad, either. I'll mostly just track day it and street drive it.

Building the CSP car. Doubtful it'll be done by end of winter (or even close), but it's getting full national treatment within the next year. Koni 28 series doubles are on order and I plan to have 150RWHP out of a new 1.8L motor and everything CSP legal.

STi is getting the big Addco front bar and Koni single adjustable shocks. Already has the Ti cat-back exhaust and some SSRs. All AS legal. Mostly street driving, but it'll see some autocross action.

Your my hero! I dont know what the hell I would do with 150whp  Im interested to hear the build up on that!

WOW, this is the first off season in a LONG time where I dont have a major project

-Get rid of the POS airbag steering wheel with a nice aftermarket one
-New Kuhmo 13 race rubber (V710 vs V700 TBD)
-Maybe switch out the 343 lb springs for something a bit stiffer in the F and softer in the R (waiting for Les to do it :) )
-Oil temp/Oil Pressure/Water Temp gauges

Other than that just enjoy the fact Im not wrenching on a car all winter long  and get ready to whoop Vincent, Wes, Brad et al....

are you in the 3xx range at the wheel?? no way... w/ stock boost. what do STi's put down stock? i have 230ish in mind, but dont know. what kind of gains are acheived w/ exhaust? or is it primarily a spool up speed thing?

how do you like the front bar? no changes to the rear?

were you able to acheive that front camber w/ stock parts?

^^i forget my whoopass every time, doh

I'm tuned with a 330wTq/310wHp map for a full TBE but am running with just the DP. I am there for Torque but have a way to go with HP. According to the tuner, the remainder of the exhaust will get me to, or over, 300 whp. Peak boost is 18 psi tapering down to 13.5psi. With a freer flowing exhaust I can expect 19psi tapering down to 15psi...still stock turbo.

My dyno runs were on a Dynojet in Atlanta. I will be doing some pulls on an AWD Mustang dyno next week, both before and after the rest of the exhaust is put on. From your numbers I'd say that you are using a Mustang Dyno as your basis for comparison. I don't know what STi's put down stock on a Mustang.

Front sway bar: The only suspension mod I've done so far and it made a huge difference. Turn in is noticeably better. STi's are very heavy and are prone to understeer. The front sway made a significant reduction in understeer. I don't plan on doing a rear sway. I like the handling the way it is, I just need to lower the center of gravity a bit (hence the springs). My camber was obtained on stock pieces.

^^nice, that torque is sick :P

yep thats right, i ran on the mustang 500 at Absolute in Durham. I'd highly recommend them if youre looking for an AWD dyno. and guess you dont have much choice, theyre the closest to raleigh that i know of.. next is in mooresville maybe? real good guys there though. theyre a GIAC chip tester/tuner so GIAC keeps their dyno tune/calibration in tip top shape. who did you have in mind?

and i forgot to say in my first post, SEAT TIME! thats all i really want. i can't wait for VIR-full in november. after that i hope to run more HPDEs w/ you guys. and i plan to autox the full season next year as well. likely in STX

^come on brian, lets hear whatcha got

I have done all I really plan on doing until next years budget comes around::

- 10/8 Tein Flex coilovers
- MRT Camber/caster plates
- 29mm solid F/22 or stock RSB
- -3.5/-1.0 alignment
- ???

That's it. I am thinking about selling the black wheels, and going with a lower profile 245. There has never been much to my cars setup. The powertrain is completely stock, and all I plan on doing is TLC to the parts that are scraped/broken.

I welcome you to check out my car anytime :)

Mostly I need to find the time to work on the 914 as that is #1 priority. I don't see it being ready for next year, so I will most likely autocross the Civic at least one more year. I don't want to spend any money on the Civic, so it will probably just get new tires and go back into STS again.

Or, I may try to find someone that I can co-drive with and then retire the Civic early. Or (even crazier idea), put stickies on the Civic and run it in DSP (get slaughtered by DSP regulars as the car is nowhere close to DSP prep.). But it would give me a chance to see what "real" autocross tires are like. Problem with that idea is that it would be money (non-street tires) I would rather spend on the 914.

Well since I only beat you by 0.1 second, I decided to do the following to give you a proper several-second smackdown next time:

Koni SAs with ext adj rears
Front swaybar
New front control arms, bushings
Rear bushings (RTABs and shock mounts)
Exhaust (maybe, to shave weight)
Alignment (never done, no idea how it's aligned, maybe time for some rear toe out?)
Subwoofer

Actually these were in my off-season plan already...
