All -

Hopefully Marty or someone else from the Z club is in here and can help. Got a buddy with a 96 300Z twin turbo that needs some work done to it. Valve cover gaskets, tension rods (no idea what that means), tie rod ends, and a bent driveshaft. Dealer quoted him a rather hurtful price to do this work. Is there anyone local who works on late model Z cars that is reasonably priced?

All I know is that I looked under the hood of his car and to me, the only way you can get to much of anything would be to drop the motor out completely. Ugh.

TIA.

Someone... what is Rex's shop called? Blair Stitt would know. Why do I think Rex does Z cars?

Diane ~ I didn't realize the entire memory went at 30!

Edit - Happy Japs (WooHoo... maybe it's not all gone yet). My brother used to have them do work on his cars and was happy with the job/price.

McNair does Nissans including Z Cars. Not cheap. Tension or compression rods on older Z's simply run between the outer end of the lower control arm to the body to support the arm. They have bushings on the body end.

Right, the place Rice was trying to think of is Happy Japs. 467-2884.

Rex even advertises in the Heel & Toe. Rice - remember, that newsletter when we print your clever meeting minutes reports?

Rex @ Happy Japs can fix it right...Rex races Z cars and RX7s. He is quite familiar with their suspensions and drivelines.
