I've got 2 gallons of 3+ year old gasoline I drained from an (Karl's old) MGB. Anyone have ideas about what to do with it?

I know I can take it to the Wake county hazmat disposal, but that's really inconvenient. Or I could make some Molotov cocktails, but I don't have any enemies that require that degree of violence.

Safely burn it? Put it out and let it evaporate? Kill weeds? Dump it in the suburban at the next fill-up? (40 gallon tank!)

Run it through your lawn mower. Mix it half and half with regular till you use it up. Lawn mowers are much more forgiving to bad gas

I'd Shake it up and pour a bit into a jar first. See if the condesation built up enough to have a noticable amount of water. My friend Will got stranded because he poured old gas into his boats tank from an old broke down truck of his, and it had A TON of water in it.

If there is water in it, I would not recommend using it in a lawn mower. Water will collect in the float bowl and then you will have to disassemble and drain it.

For small amounts, I bleed it into my used oil and take it to an oil disposal site or a Jiffy Lube. Otherwise, you can deliver it to a county facility that accepts old chemicals, paint, motor oil, etc.

I decided to burn my neighbor's house down using the old gas. His dog has been sh!tting in my yard. That'll teach him. Maybe I should just light the dog on fire?

try putting some in a paint gun and hooking it up to your compressor and have fun with a flame thrower..

Most of the tracks have dedicated disposal barrels for oil, antifreeze, and gasoline. You could hang on to it till you head to the track, if dropping by the hazmat disposal is inconvenient. Not as much fun as some of the other suggestions, but perhaps a little more environmentally responsible. (Now if I could just attach the video clip of Paul Tuttle, Sr. from Orange County Choppers throwing gasoline on the yellow jacket nest outside his shop...)
