Do you actually know how to setup a double adjustable shock? There is a reason we're on single adjustable teins, and thats cause you can get in way over your head with a double adjustable.

I also don't like the KW rebound curves.

I dislike Cobb because every car they have put anything on has been slow, the products that they "make" to suck (Accessport for example), they repaint products and call them their "own", and they are way overpriced.

I have some experience setting up double adj. suspension. I raced on the NC hare scrambles series when I was in my teens. My motocross bike had like 24 different compression settings and 16 rebound just for the shock. It took me a while to get a base set up that I liked. I never got the suspension revalved but I did play with different springs and oils. I realize that having lots of adj. can be a head ache, but I am willing to take that risk. The KW variant 3's are about 2k depending on where you get them.

Is there much difference in prep level ability between STU and ESP other than the tire thing? I haven't bothered to check the rules at length, obviously. I still lean AS since I do like to drive the car *often* on the street.

Except update backdate not really anything you would want to do on the STi. In STU brakes are open, not in ESP, but you wouldn't care in that car. Also you can remove cats in ESP, must have 1 high flow in STU (which since you drive the car you should have anyways). Last but not least IC's are open in ESP while must be stock in STU. Miranda's STi either has or is in process of getting
- Big whiteline front and rear bars
- Ground Control advance design shocks/coilovers
- Intake
- Pulleys
- Turboback w/ high flow cat
- ECUtek engine mgmt
- Carbotech bobcats
- Adjustable rear control arms
- Poly Bushings all around

With those mods it can run STU or ESP depending on wheel/tire. The only real thing you give up for ESP is the IC, which could be another 20HP with tuning. If the car stays in ESP though, it will get the IC.

In that case go for it. I can't offer up any advice on that particular brand as I've never heard of them or heard of anyone using them. For that much cash though I would either go with Konis or GC Advance Designs.

With all that prep you must have talked Miranda into letting you drive her car next year  . How mcuh will the GC/Advance kit set you back?

 If its in ESP we'll both dabble a bit, but I'm focusing on road race and she'll be autoxing and doing Pros.

The GC full kit is $2400 I believe.

Marcus,

When do you plan on doing your suspension mods? I'd like to take your car for a brief spin to see what your current suspension feels like. I'm still debating some minor mods after the season ends.

The only issue is that I'm sleep deprived now and will be that way for many weeks to come...you've got good insurance, right? :)

I am going to get the coilovers some time in the next couple of months. Do you have good insurance?? Are you coming to the Rock?

I registered for the Rock but most likely will not be able to attend. My little guys are to be released from NICU this month, possibly by the end of this week. Lots of things point to me not being able to go but I'm still hoping....
