Since I was not driving the 24hr Chump race this weekend (long story), I decided to hang wall cabinets in the garage. I got about 20 of them from a contractor friend that took them out of a remodel project. I got 6 installed Saturday.

Still have another blank garage wall to fill up. I'm gonna have a few left over. Wadaya think about hanging them in the race trailer? Although they aren't damaged and seem sturdy, they are just particle board with plastic laminate finish. Will the bouncing around in the trailer tear them up? Thoughts?

Thanks,
Cash

I think they would likely be fine. The only concern I would have would be hitting a bump and bouncing the load in them. Maybe reinforce the bottoms with some plywood?

I'm sure you thought of this, but the latches on them would need some reinforcement. A lip on the edge of the shelves would be another thing to think of.

Actually, the TV shelf is mounted independent of the cabinets - I used the 2x4 to help slide the cabinets up tight to the bottom of the shelf. I've hung 4 more on the opposite wall. Several of them are still empty!

Since that picture, I've mounted the lift hyd unit on the leg of the lift rather than the beam. Damn are those hoses expensive! Much easier to reach now.

Next I'm finishing my lighting upgrade, then I got a bunch of receptacles to install, mount my air hose reel, etc, etc . . .
