I keep thinking of more stuff.
You will have less lane changing visibility than I have even with the camper van because you won't have view from the inside mirror. In cities, etc. don't be shy about being a "middle lane hog". Right lanes go away with little or no notice and you can easily get trapped. Plus mergers are still idiots but it is worse when you cannot change lanes. With a co driver do everything you can to figure out far in advance which lane you need to be in for turns, highway changes, etc. There are a LOT of left lane turns which are a big deal when you cannot change lanes easily. Remember you will/should be going slower than most of the traffic, especially in city interstates during rush hour if it hasn't stopped so holes disappear before you may even see the other vehicle come from one side of you to the other to get around you. You may not have noticed this in cars but for some strange law of physics traffic gets faster the heavier it gets as you approach a city . . . until it becomes too congested, of course.
If you have a choice spend the night on the far side of any big city so you will be reverse commuting in the morning.
