Does the 1" reduction mean we have to recalculate the Exhaust to trailer angle of the ramp to ensure clearance. :banghead:

I built some starter ramps and made sure there was an extra inch of height to be sure it overcomes the 1/2 inch lowering! If it drags again I'm gonna be pissed!

Trailer? If the car is trailered now you might as well put real race tires (i.e. slicks) on it. Lots of tire size choices and I'll be chasing you if I show up at an event in my FF!

I thought about it and having just bought a new tow vehicle, new sedan, and new trailer in a 4 week period, I made just enough investment in tires to (hopefully) keep up with Patrice, and still come in under my wife's radar! :)

To do slicks right I'll need wider wheels, probably some rear camber plates and new bushings all around. Maybe next year!

Best calculator out there

Youre right on your calculations though :-)

I built an excel calculator a few years back that works great. It also lets me play with gear ratios and final drive to determine impact on mph in each gear. Takes all the guesswork out of it!

You young folk would be surprised how useful a sliderule can be for doing gear calculations and for displaying the rpm relative to speed in a gear. Still handier sometimes than using a gearing chart (on paper or on computer). :D

A slide rule??? Is that similar to an abacus?
