So as I get ready to do some post-season maintenance (and possible mods) -

Had an issue at the TH VIR event where the front of the AC pulley was contacting the sway bar. My guess was the compressor shaft or clutch was going out and allowing just enough play for them to touch. I couldn't see any evidence of any other issues like a motor mount.
I cut the belt and everything seemed OK.

Is a really tight fit for the AC pulley normal for a big FSB and the 1.8 in an NA? I will probably just pull the AC over the winter (I'll have to ditch it if I want to S/C the car anyway), but wanted to make sure there wasn't another issue to check.

check and make sure your sway bar mounts are broke and moving also!!!
