Thought I'd share pics of the carnage.

Oil pickup full of metal bits. Also notice the wrist pin laying in the windage tray.

Here's the oil pan full of metal debris. Notice the dimple in the the oil pickup tube made by the wrist pin.

Alot of broken bits . . .

my wrx often idles around 1500 rpm, when she starts getting warm.. i pop my hood, try to drive around gently and it often stops complaining. autocrosses and rallycrosses when i am pushing her hard at low speed, that is often the culprit.. drive around a little and she cools off. does not take much to warm her up, thank the turbo for that! but on the street i often am not pushing her that hard, especially in the heat... i dont experience that problem typically. just my 2 cents

Rolled the car out of the garage this morning and took it for a spin. Here's a clip of the exhaust - not toooo load. It was a little chilly this morning - 37deg - hence the vapor (not smoke).

It runs good and pulls hard. I set the front alignment to a slight toe-out and 2.5deg neg camber. Ready for annual tech and the test & tune!
