 Post subject: feeler gauges

anyone know a good source to buy them locally? i got a set from advance but they only go down to 0.008" and i need them down to 0.005". must be the bent style, flat ones don't fit my application.

Not sure exactly who has the bent ones, but I know I've seen them at one or more of those places.

problem is that every time i check those places, all they have are fairly crappy sets that aren't thin enough. haven't tried napa though.

Don't forget Sears in Crabtree. The web site doesn't have details for the bent versions but one of the straight sets goes down to .002

If that Carquest "warehouse" is still there over on Spring Forest (?) you might try there, otherwise I'm not sure.

Since it's a Craftsman, you can bring it back if you kink/bend one of the slides like I did. :wink:

I've got the snap-on valve adjustment tool if you need to borrow it.
