the preliminary thoughts are bad fuel. we have yet to do a auto autopsy yet, however we think the mirage gas got mixed in with sentra gas.. something so stupid as that.. killed our fun. we iwll see. if it is simple as that, we will be there at ocs or bmw farm. either one.

Do the Mirage and Sentra use different types of gas?

We were sorry to that you guys had to leave on Sunday. We didn't know what was going on - saw you in your truck, thought you must be moving to a different parking spot, and then all of a sudden you guys were leaving the fairground. Was the engine just sputtering and stuff?

no. the gas in the mirage was bad.. the car would not light.. so we took that gas out and put it in a container. then we stupidly put that gas in the sentra. DOH!we are going to be syphoning the gas out later today.. putting fresh high test in. we will be back..also the motor mount was busted. big time. we will be back though.. wilson is my old stomping grounds i am not going to give up so easily.watch out. i may be back in my wrx to wilson.. i had a BALL on saturday in the mud.

That old gas may not have been from the Mirage, it might have been from that old BMW that we played with that had gas that was 10 years old. Seems like that may be where that gas came from. Note to self, never let old gas sit around so long that you don't recall when you put it in the gas can.
I just missed the lower engine mount being busted. At the last event we cracked a lower control arm and the upper engine mount let go (it was an aftermarket unit less than a year old - but without a warranty). We had just replaced the lower mount before the last event so I didn't pay close attention to it before Wilson...should have.
The down side to working on the car while it is still on the trailer is that we didn't have to drive the car onto the trailer. If we had driven the car onto the trailer we would have noticed both problems. Oh well.

MAF was loose. air fuel was screwed up. we got now 3 gallons of hi test fresh in it. reconnected MAF. we are working on a newish motor mount and the exhaust will be on in some form.we are back. we will make ocs and possibly wilson. ocs we may not have a system yet, but wilson we will. :sing:
