I need to get a vent welded into the top of our fuel cell plate. Both pieces are about 1/4" thick aluminum and need to be TIG welded. Since this needs to seal in the fuel in the cell, I want a professional shop to weld it for me. Anybody know of anyplace near Cary or Fuquay-Varina? Please post up if you know of a shop in the area. Thanks.

Dave Blum at Apex Vintage (formerly Krause & England) is an artist with a tig welder. I am 99% sure he's in Montreal right now supporting some of their customers at a vintage race at Mont Tremblant. Not sure when he'll be back.

They were recommended to me in the vendor section here, and I have used them several times for radiators and fuel tank repairs since then, including welding a boat aluminum fuel tank, plus welding an aluminum boat gate.
