Cleaned and de-grease engine, exhaust, cross-member, etc. It appears most of the oil was from the PS pump and the valve covers.

Let's hope I'm done working on it for a while. Now I can get the racecar on the lift! :thumbsup:

Thread resurrection!

After all this work, now the motor has a wicked bearing rattle. Have I mentioned how much I hate this car!!!! It's 6yrs old and too nice to junk it - looks like I'll be swapping the motor.

Buy a Subaru they said. They run for ever they said. I REALLY, REALLY hate this car! :twisted:

Wrx,wheel bearing, tgv delete, struts because i bent one. my battery is corroded to death, and still mostly starts.tires, brakes because when i got it they were worn.other than that, my wrx has been reliable, even though i do my best ot make it not so! oh and underbody tray, because i broke one over a rock.The z3 and 528i have been great, especially since they have alot of miles on them.Now we have had ot fix stuff, but i would rather own a vw or bmw rather than a fiat, or dsm. The chrysler k car.Besides, there is always old skoda, or trabant or volga.

Also, get used to it. You will be competing against a vw, and on asphalt, a bmw 325is! Which runs again!

If you think your Subaru is bad, try hanging out at Janko for a day, and seeing all of the BMW crap that goes through there. The level of shit they were dealing with was INSANE. Made me appreciate my Subarus. :lol:
