So I ended up with a basically free 13" Alcon/Saleen front brake setup for my 94 Mustang, they are equipped with low mileage (les than .5mm wear) Ferodo DS2500 pads, and I am trying to find equivalent rear pads for the car. There is no offering that I can find for rears for a Mustang from Ferodo, so I will have to run something else. I'm just wondering if anyone has run the DS2500's and would know what would approximately match up to them, HP plus, AX6? I've also been eyeballing the StopTech Street Performance series, if they're any good, they are really cheap :) LMK if anyone has tried anything similar, thanks!

Are you tracking this car or just AX duty? I ran the DS2500's on my Z-24 and they don't last long at all. For a Mustang they will wear even faster. The 2500 is not much more than an aggresive street pad in my experience.

Since you asked for a comparison, I'd say they were about equal to the Hawk HP Plus pads.

Street and autocross is the use, I can't afford open track LOL.

I've been running 2 seasons so far on PFC parts store pads, so I don't think longevity will kill me :). I do think I've transferred a bit of excess pad material though, I get some garbage truck squeal when they're cold and I'm rolling to a stop, and they aren't worn out yet.

I appreciate the response, I was figuring either an HP plus or Carbotech AX6ish pad..

In the Subaru world, Stoptech SPs get a lot better reviews than the HP+ and they don't squeal like a pig either, and not as dusty as Axxis Ults. I really liked them for autox on the WRX.

That's good to know, the Stoptechs are virtually unknown to Mustang folk it seems LOL..

I'm actually very strongly considering selling these in favor of the Ford Racing '00 R Brembo kit, I really don't need either as I'm mostly happy with the PBR's, but it wouldn't cost much.. and the Brembo's have a much better parts availability, and everything for them is cheaper.
