By the end, one of the brass bushings was popping out, and the grease on the shaft had turned into a brass particle slurry. Also, the clamp had to be shimmed up about 1/16", the notcher was way off center. Quite a bit of flex too, and the shaft wasn't straight so the drill bounced around a lot. I added grease fittings to the side and kept it well lubed. Oh and the bolts holding the clamp were the softest metal I have ever seen (4.

and stripped out after a few over-torquings -- replaced with 8.8 bolts.
FYI I used it horizontally clamped in a vice with a 1/2" dewalt corded drill. This allowed the flex and bounce to be absorbed by my arms and torso, I don't think it would work as well in a press. I do think it could do another cage before self destructing, but it's getting tired after the 100 or so notches we made.
