what brand of cat back exhaust should i go with for the wrx? perrins , kakumei or borla? i am looking for the subaru burble while staying street legal... i know that the downpipe mod will mean i need a boost controller, and i am not quite ready to go that hardcore.

If you want it to be somewhat loud, replace the axle-back section with a 2.5" pipe with as few bends as possible. It's no louder than the ricer exhausts, sounds way better and is way cheaper.

Or get a Stromung (or Stromung replica) axle-back, if you want a muffler and you want it to be really quiet.

I thought my WRX sounded pretty damn good with my $75 R&J straight pipe. Kevin thought it sounded like a motorcycle though :).
