Ok, so the previous owner of my new autocross monster used Sunoco 110 octane race fuel. He told me not to run less than 110 octane fuel in it as it has a very high compression ratio. Where can I purchase this stuff locally? Anywhere in and around the triangle is fine. Thanks in advance.

You'll have to go to one of local drag race tracks or order a drum from sunoco. Their website lists all the places that sell it.

Thanks Bernie. I will be making a trip there this week so I can have enough fuel to finish the season. I only need like 2 gallons or so.

Keith, the high octane pumps are behind the little general store. It's on the corner of n main/virgilina/501 roads. Google it and it'll get you there.
If you can wait till next week end I'll get you a couple of gallons and meet you in Danville for the last tarheel event.

Is it sunoco gas? I couldn't get their website to show that as one of their race gas locations.

It's not sunoco, It seems to me they handle exon but I'm not sure thats who supplies the race fuel. The pumps are separate from the normal fuel pumps.

Ashworth Performance in Fuquay. HWY 401 right beside my store on Main Street. Pumps behind the store.

can't you add an octane booster to normal pump gas for this? Make it easier to buy gas....

It's not that simple. An increase of 1 RON (Research Octane Number) is a ton with a octane booster. Take a look at this:

It's lot cheaper and easier just buying the right fuel. - AB
