million times better than any spring compressor from autozone or anything. but its also a few hundred dollars more

it works like a charm. you can swap springs in maybe 2 minutes with one of those.

Thats what I have, after having a near miss with the other style I just don't like the chance of that near miss becoming not so near.

A Harbour Freight tool that broke? Unheard of!

Sure, bring it down. We can have them changed in a couple of hours I bet. - AB

I was talking to Matt about Koni's at Danville on Sunday, and for those who don't know, on the Civic Si, the strut tower is under the windshield wiper trim. To get to it you need to remove some trim up near the wipers/hvac inlet. I was thinking that you could get a ratcheting gear wrench (maybe 12mm) and remove the inserts on the Koni adjuster and epoxy it into the closed end ratcheting part of the wrench. Then adjustment would be cake :).

no matter how many times i do it compressing suspension springs is just about the only thing on a car that makes me cringe and fear for my safety/life.. when i have a garage with enough room i will have one of the wall mount style compressor, they are the way to go.

The ones that James let me borrow were very good. Excellently cut/rolled acme threads, very tight tolerances on the block that threads as well as the block that floats so as the two blocks get close, they don't seem to cock to the side. Just a tad bit of oil makes them operate super smooth....was not afraid for my lift with these :).
