I did not get the pimpy impact version. I got it at the store in cary. Call before you go to check availability. I still have it if you want to borrow it.
Edit: What's the price on the e30 front wheel bearing? The E36 bearings are still close to $100. I had to replace the right front for the second time just before I sold it. If RRT is still selling their lifetime wheel bearings I recommend you look in to them.
never heard of a rrt lifetime bearing. i got a replacement from turner, cost about $130 including the nut and dust cap. plus i got new studs so i wouldn't have to deal with removing the old ones on short notice. i'll yank them later and keep for spares.
Remove the studs befor you pull the hub. It's a thousand times easier. What kind of studs are in the hub now?
RRT used to sell a bearing that they custom built and said it would last forever. Go ahead and buy a socket from NT. You'll need it next year

.
i'll call NT and see if they have one on hand. if the OD is too large i'll have to grind it down so a rental tool might not work anyway. might as well buy one, it's not like this is the last time i'll ever use it
i don't have a torch to heat it up and break the locktite so pulling the studs now isn't an option. no idea what kind they are (already installed when i bought it) but they look just like the ones that BW and turner sell, 75mm long.
