If it vibrates to bad after the event or driving it around you could always take it back out and get it balanced but I do not think that little bit will be something you could notice.

The five other bolts are good. They snug the flywheel down completely. So I know the flywheel is centered and aligned properly (that's also what the the tech guy said). At most I'll probably be removing a gram of aluminum. And, like Scott said, it's pretty close to the center so effect should be minimal. And this is on my Rally car so I'm guessing I won't notice.
Sorry, I guess with the picture angle and me misconstruing your comment, I thought that even with the 5 bolts that are in there that it was not centered about the crank (the picture make it seem that way too). Yeah if those 5 bolts are fine and it's just the 6th bolts that is 'off' the bolt circle, you should be fine.

Hi Simon, the question that you need to ask is how much clearance is there in the bolt holes to make sure that the flywheel is properly "clocked" to the crank. The BMW flywheel mentioned earlier in the thread uses a close fit to the hole to make sure that the flywheel is accurately aligned for timing purposes. Although, assuming a 3" bolt cir, one degree of misalignment is 0.026" of movement at the bolt circle, so it is unlikely that you could be off true timing by a full degree.
