Nice buy Aaron. Can't wait to see it on the course!

LOL :)

Yeah, it will probably be a month before it's ready to roll, but it should be good :) - AB

I hadn't been a huge fan of the latest styling on the STI, but I gotta admit that is hot.

Or maybe it is just the mood lighting  ?

Rock on Aaron. I've been told if you find a worker station in DC they have Segways.

Nice! DGM looks great with the spec C wheels. Yep, the 4000 rpms gets old. I hit 5-5.5k a few times during the break in period....followed by a vacuum deceleration down to 1500.

I thought Folger was going to break it in on a dyno for you?

Nice. Daddy like. And yeah, the STi shift light is pretty nifty. But after the break-in, be careful. The frequency with which you use it is in direct correlation to the amount of speeding tickets you can get with it.

Thanks. The first mod for the car will be hardwiring the V1 into it. - AB

Always a good first step in any car!

Very awesome car Aaron. Have fun with it and I look forward to seeing it at an event soon.

No that's Steven Rankins over at 42 Motorsports. I will be seeing him on Saturday for some dyno time with AFR. - AB

It's just the lighting :)

Actually, I think the wheels make the car. They are an SE only wheel and Subaru thinks they only made 530 of these prior to cutting off 2010 orders on March 21st. - AB

That is very nice man. I've not seen one in that color and it looks really good. Of course we all know you've always been a hack, now you can really prove it. :P

Negatory. The 06 Steel Gray Metallic STi in my driveway (and the Crystal Gray Metallic 05 in my garage) has it beat in the looks dept. The new STi looks good in that color and with those wheels, though. Should be a fun car.

I'll know in about a week. When Rankins returns from One Lap (the GTR he was driving grenaded the engine, so they are driving Jon K.'s DSP 2.5 RS), we're going to weigh it. We'll then install the shocks, front sway bar, shorty exhaust, wheels and tires and re-weigh it and put it on the dyno.

My guess is that it weighs similar to what the 2011 Sedans, which are rumored to be 40# less than the 2010 non SE STi.

In race trim, Chris Carris got his '08 down to about 50# heavier than comparitively setup GD chassis STi's, so I should be close to a prepped GD weight (3200# or less) with a better rear suspension and a lot more tire. - AB

Okay, my shocks shipped Friday from California via UPS 3 day and tracking confirms they should be here Wednesday. My Dad is running down to Savannah tomorrow and will have the car back to me on Monday along with wheels and the swaybar. I have a set of Hoosiers already here.

So I should have tires, wheels, shocks, and swaybar for the Jimmy V event. Probably won't have the exhaust. Also can't make Saturday, but should be good for Sunday. Should be fun.

I did not get the Karl Shultz valving on the shocks. I might regret that, but we'll see. I had to get Jason Saini to use his Tri-Point contacts to get these done in a hurry, and I let Jason spec what he thought they should look like. Supposedly all I'll have to do is max the rear setting and then use the fronts to tune the car. We shall see...
