Reviving this thread. Aaron dangled the carrot in front of me, but Bryan jumped in. I think Aaron knew all along there would be no seat because otherwise he would have been WAY too chicken to offer me a seat in his STi. So fine, I went and found myself an AP1 S2K. Nope, not the car to have against an STi at a Pro, but what the heck. I crush like bug anyway. :D

Hoping to run it at the Jimmy V event. And no, it's not my car...just a loaner. But it should have shocks, bar, and maybe exhaust by then. I haven't autocrossed in forever and the only time I've ever driven at S2K was Rick Butters car for a quick pop on South Course at VIR. I promptly spun it on the exit of The Bitch. Rick was not amused. ;)

I got a call yesterday that the STi will be here before the end of the month, which should give me plenty of time to prep it and get comfortable in it enough to beat you by multiple seconds at DC :P Yes, it's on like Donkey Kong.

Seriously though, I'm glad you're coming back to your "roots" and autocrossing again. It should be a lot of fun. - AB

P.S. - If Bryan had taken the Matco route, training would have been during DC, so you would have had a seat.

I choose to believe NOTHING you say now! Hah!

And the Kozlaks are in a GXP in DC! Wow. Should be, err, interesting!

You're gonna need to bring that thing to the Jimmy V. You'll be needing LOTS of seat time in it. ;)

Damn you guys are making me want to go to DC now. I had basically planned on scrapping going but as long as I have enough tire I might just register.

Agreed.

Where is "Shineboy" Shultz, "Skittles" & "Skittlette" Peterson on the entry list? There are B-Stock pansies all over this board. :D - AB

Yeah, especially since the "family" Solo Passport is only $5 more, making it $25 per person for them! They might be working on the paperwork to adopt Karl, though, to get the cost down to $17 per person. ;)

Let's just make sure there is a Subaru at the top of the list and not a damn Honda! :)

Considering it will be my first big event in the car, I can't guarantee that I will finish in the top 5  Hopefully the car will be as good as expected. - AB

I got the call today. The car came in this morning. They need to prep it today and I'll pick it up Monday evening. I expected it would take about 10 weeks.... Friday was 4 weeks.

For just a moment this morning Bryan and I considered bringing it to Lincoln, but getting the 1000 mile break-in done prior to leaving would be difficult. Also the wheels I bought from Jake Nygaard are being delivered at the event and while I can get tires brought by R&S racing, it would be too much of a hassle.

It appears that unless we do really well in Lincoln in SS, we will bring the STi for it's ProSolo debut in Blytheville. It would be a good place to test the two swaybars. - AB
