What do you folks bleed your bleeder (motive or otherwise) with? I've always used just concentrated dish soap or simple green. Given how 'particular' brake fluid is to moisture/dirt etc, I wonder if you should only uses certain solvents on containers that will touch clean brake fluid.

i would either blow it out with compressed air or spray it down with brake clean. water is the last thing i want anywhere near brake fluid.

Brake clean MIGHT degrade the plastics.

Water won't be a problem IF you can get all the water out before first use. However, it won't necessarily remove much crud. Why would there be crud? :?

You could also flush the unit with fresh but cheaper brake fluid (Castrol LMA for example). Any resisdue will be pumped through the system by the better stuff if you are doing a complete flush.

Since I use Speedbleeders, I clean my brake bleeder (me) with soap and water.

It sort of dries for months between cleanings....I think it's dry :).

Seems that a bunch of people use high strength alcohol to clean it out.
