Anybody know good or bad about Certifit? www.certifit.com

I was pointed toward them for aftermarket collision repair parts, and their prices are so low that I am ...suspicious...

I wouldn't be worried about random body parts, but I am seeking the front bumper beam for my mom's car. And I suspect that it better be a real part made out of real metal. (If I know what is good for me...)

Thanks!

I have no experience with Certifit. But wow! I have a left front fender on my Odyssey that needs to be replaced. OEM retails for about $250 and can be had online for about $180. Certifit lists the same for less than $34. That seems odd to me.

Anyhow, to your point, if it was a safety item (which the front bumper beam is), I would go OEM or junkyard (if in great condition) vs. new from non-OEM supplier.

Some call it "SortaFit."

I have no such complaints with them. I bought a replacement grill for my F250 there for something like $35. A replacement front bumper skin for my aunt's Ford Escape cost all of $70. I had no complaints with either item.

They are reproduction parts. You can not beat the price. They are NOT the best quality but if you take it for that then you wont be disappointed.

Agreed.

If you are REALLY picky about your car, or have a REALLY nice car you're trying to repair, then go with OEM stuff. If you're fixing a beater, daily driver or race/track car, then Certifit parts should be fine.

They are mostly made in Taiwan + China, sometimes the metal is a bit thinner than original, or the crease/body lines are not quite as crisp, or the bolt holes don't quite line up perfectly. But, they are 10000000x better than the Taiwan stuff was 15-20 years ago.

Unwrap the part at the store and give it a nice check for dents and dings. It'll save you a trip and some headaches

and yeah. Don't expect dealership quality but for the price, and for a cheaper car, you can't go wrong
