We're going to Dyno the rally beater Toyota on Saturday with at the NCVW dyno day in Durham at Carolina Automasters.

Make a guess at our peak HP here on the forum! Whomever gets closest to the actual number on the first pull pre-modification, without guessing too high, wins a prize! You may not want the prize but you will win it!

Relevant info: 1989 Toyota Corolla SR5. 1.6l carburated engine. Twin cams and 16 valves lurk under the scrawny carb. May or may not have carb "issues". Factory rated @ 90 crank HP.

Oh, Mike forgot to mention that in it's current condition the car will not rev to the redline.

I think it will in neutral and 1st (I think), but it's awwwwwfully hard in 2nd to get up there.

Alright my real guess 35, seeing as how at one point in time I had a talbot that put out a whooping 45 bhp and it would go to redline in every gear.

I dont think it has enough power to turn the rollers over on the dyno!
