The gov blaimed GM and Chrysler's financial problems on the management for not building small energy efficient vehicles "that the consumers wanted..." rather than higher profit SUVs and larger sedans.
As part of the bailout the goverment took over controlling interest in the companies and booted out the previous management for their own people.
So, anyone notice what they are building (and heavily advertising) now? Yes, more new SUV's and crossover models! And guess what the consumer's are buying??? How many "clown cars" have you noticed on the road or in the mall parking lots?
