Funny Story sort of.

My wife thought she might want a Clubman. While I think it is crazy to spend a lot of money to get 9 extra inches of room (insert your phalic jokes here), whatever, I was willing to look. Flow is offering 3k of of 2009 models. Since I keep cars forever I thought that might be a good deal. So, since we are on our way to WV for Vickie's favorite uncles funeral we decided to stop at Flow.

Well she likes the Clubman S. Wants to talk trade numbers. We are looking around waiting on appraisal of her car when we here a CRASH. The sales manager has backed her car into the car we were looking at. Does not stop, revs the engine to the red line and screams off. We go after him to find him, can hear him reving it to about 6k while driving around the building and comes back to the front. He is now grinding the gears for some unknown reason. I yell "Hey, Hey, cut the engine off" He rolls down the window and says I think I owe you a light and have you had any problem with the back up sensors. I respond not last time I backed it and add that I think he will owe some paint as well. My wife volunteers that perhaps a fender would be appropriate as well.

As they say in the sitcom business "and hillarity unsues". Guy does not tell the salesman what he has done. Comes in making light of it. and then proceed to low ball me on trade. I tell him I don't agree on value. He says thats what they pay at Manhiem. I said i think that is low. He says he will bring me numbers from Manhiem. I tell him never mind I don't want to trade, He comes back showing me a sheet of numbers based on sales at Manheim. I will leave out the fight that developed with my wife and I.

Bottom line, did not trade. Vicke says she will never own another mini.

Did I mention I was on my way to a funeral?

Never before have been so happy to get back to the office.

Tell Vickie, don't hate the game, hate the player.Then, take a nice weekend trip to Charleston & shop @ Mini of Charleston. That way you get to shop cars with good folks AND have a nice weekend. Flow is full of idiots. Apparently nothing's changed since I decided not to ever go there again. So, what's the rest of the story? When do they repair your car?

They want to come pick it up and bring me a loaner. Not happening! I'll get my guy to do it. I told Vickie that I thought thats why you guys went to Charleston.

I heard rumors that GH Sharp will be running the new Flow MINI on Capital Blvd. Hopefully that will help with the stupidity problem?

I think they are moving into the old Saab dealership near Triangle Town Center. They've had the sign up for a while... not sure when though.

The sign says "Fall 2009" But I noticed some new construction going on the other day, Not sure what the sign says now. I'll check next time I'm in the area.

I forgot to add that Michael is right. It is going to be where the old David O'Neal Saab dealership used to be. Basically right across from the Saturn dealer on Capital Blvd.

The told me Jan 2 was opening date. I'm thinking of applying for sales manager as I have extensive experience in sales and wrecking mini's!
