Donna and I prefer mysteries on trips, especially Patterson. He holds our interest, his chapters are so short you don't have to backtrack forever should you have to stop it at a gas/food stop or overnight, and he's prolific enough there is always something new available. We take advantage of the Cracker Barrel rentals whenever possible, they usually have a good selection. If you decide you don't like the book, you are only out 3.00, and you can return them to any CB.
