I like it! Just don't go propping up the hood like the old school Abarths...would make visibility difficult.

So let me get this straight... 180hp, 2100 lbs and turbocharged (meaning it should have some sort of torque) and yet they only do 0-62 in about 7.4 seconds for the SS version? WTF?

My Celica GT-S which is 2500 lbs with 180 hp and no torque gets there in under 7 seconds. To me, that is lame performance. - AB

A little misread..and a little misinformation.

The article says the standard Abarth goes 0-62 in 7.4 and the new SS should be 1/2 second quicker..or 6.9.

On other notes though these were all estimates and now the cars have started to be tested. The Abarth 500 (not the SS) with 133 BHP has been shown to go 0-62 in 6.9 against the Mini Cooper S (link: http://www.evo.co.uk/carreviews/cargrou ... per_s.html)

The new SS with 50 HP more should be in the low 6 or high 5's.

That makes more sense Marty. Thank you for helping out the mentally challenged :D - AB

Also keep in mind the challenge of traction. Sure cars like the JCW, SRT4 with one of the Mopar kits, or Focus RS have the power but still cant get the same 0-60 as a comparable RWD/AWD. Once they get going and start turning their just a ball of fun. My Mini Cooper S would spin the fronts in the dry even with the LSD, and was only trying to contain 168hp.

I had a Fiat once, lets hope they dont bring that one back. But the 500 should be a blast! Any word on bringing the Panda 100HP over?

Fiat is bringing 7 models over this year. I saw a list somewhere.
