Bumping an old thread. Going on a date night on Friday and I am in the mood. I prefer the low Country style of either a cheese based or white sauce vs brown sauce.

Anyone discovered a place in the past two years?

Weathervane in University Mall in Chapel Hill has really good shrimp and grits (among other things), and I believe they are Charleston style.

The Saxapahaw General Store does my favorite shrimp and grits, but they only serve it for Saturday and Sunday morning brunch. I have no idea what to call the sauce, but it's spicy and vinegary.
