Does anyone know if I have any choices besides red? That is, are the bulbs red or is it the gauge face that's red? The red digits appear especially blurry to my aging eyes...

And yes, I nearly broke the rheostat trying to eke out a little more brightness from it.

Funny you should mention old and blurry. I found in the mustang w/ the "my colors" dash lights options, that blue is the easiest to read. I was playing w/ the reds and greens and just happened upon the blue. Everything was clear and easy to read. Only down side is lights on for rain, gauges tend to disappear. If you can find blue, I recommend them.
