Anyone know how to find the owner for a vehicle? I've still got all the receipts, maintenance records, and window sticker for the 1995 civic we traded in on our 4runner. I'd like to get that paperwork to the owner if possible. THanks!

Phil,
Chances are, tha car was sold at the auction. Might be a chore to trace it.
Maybe there's a website that let's you trace it by VIN.(?)

I think it might show up in a Carfax report, although I've never actually seen one myself. If so, maybe someone that purchases unlimited Carfax reports for a month will run the vin for you and tell you.

I've got a Carfax on my car that was run about a year or so ago. It does not mention the names of owners or car dealers on it. Just the City/State that it was registered or titled in and the odometer reading. So you can't find an owner that way.

A friend ran it on carfax and it's not helpful. Oh well, one day I may actually get rid of the info!
