Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. I pay approx $22 for a box of 20 165gr Nosler Ballistic tips (30-06) but the military rounds are a hell of a lot cheaper.

It depends on the round. What individual needs 27,000 rounds of any caliber? He would need to own an insurance company to afford them and have a Super Duty with a trailer to carry them.

Well, the jihad weapon of choice is probably the AK-47, which would mean they probably had a lot of 7.62 ammo. If so, that would actually only be around $8k in ammo (based on a quick search, which probably got me in a federal database, and using the first thing I found in quantity).

first time in a Federal data base Donnie?

still $8k is a chunk of change for an out of work drywall man.

It's cheaper than that by about two grand. You can buy Bulgarian surplus 7.62 at a hundred bucks for a 440 round tin from classicarms.us near Charlotte. You can buy a thousand rounds of Wolf .223 for under three hundred bucks pretty much anywhere.

Maybe he charged in 7.62 NATO rounds instead of dollars?

7.62 NATO (7.62x51) is actually expensive (.308 Winchester for all intents and purposes). 7.62x39 is what AKs use and is dirt cheap.

Yeah, but commie ammo is really dirty and craps up your weapon quickly. USA made stuff is much better quality. Course use a commie weapon and the tolerances on those are a lot looser.

You can take a dump in an AK and it'll still shoot. It's the best field-carried weapon ever made. Everything except for the barrel is stamped, not forged. Cheap, simple, reliable, and always goes bang.

Wes speaks the truf. My uncle, a Green Beret in Vietnam, and the rest of this platoon carried stolen AK-47s instead of the M-16 because of reliability.
