just to vent:

One of my wealthiest clients is an owner of a Chinese Rest., I am convinced she does not pay her fair share in taxes, everything is in cash owns several homes free and clear, more cars than mike whitney, enough expensive jewelry to make Sammie Davis turn over in his grave, does spend money wisely on excellent plastic surgery but that is a discussion for another forum.

Here is why I am pissed, she just traded her 16 year olds explorer as a cash for clunker on a new civic. I'm so happy that my tax dollars are helping her out.

I know it's all been said but when it comes home I really notice.

Wait a minute.. this posting is almost on-topic :) The point of the program is not to stimulate the automotive industry and dealerships, and it's not to help people get nicer cars. The point is to get rid of the "wrong" kind of vehicles and replace them with the "right" kind of vehicles. (You know, the kind of vehicles that will never be able to tow a race car.) We're paying people to do this, and guess what, it's working!

That's horrible. I would have adopted that my self and bought the gold chains to go with it to protect it from that fate.

Here is some rednecks take on Cash for clunkers. They crash the clunkers. Looks like a lot more fun.

Have been on vacation, got back to work to learn that two of my co-workers cashed in on the cash-for-clunkers program. Bless their hearts, they bought American and they both bought trucks. (No wonder the program was cancelled)

1) The first traded an early '90s F150 for a 2009 F150 4x4 crew cab 4.6L V8. (Only got the $3500 credit)

2) Recently absent FS Camaro driver Mike Chrzanowski traded a mid-90s V6 Chevy Astro van for a 2010 GMC Acadia with 300 hp and dubs. I forget which credit he said he qualified for.
